We hadn't gone here for years so we thought we would. It's still great. There was no wait and both meals were delicious. Good service. I don't think we will wait so long before our next visit.

This was hands down the most authentic Mexican food I've had since being in Mexico! It was absolutely delicious. The restaurant itself was clean and tastefully decorated. Waiter was very nice and it didn't take long to get our food. We will be back FOR SURE!

When I went there, I had a great experience. I would go there again for sure! The staff is really nice, and the food was great.

The staff is very accommodating. I have this thing with onions, I dislike. Unfortunately most of the food is made with onions. But the restaurant was able to work with me on a dish that did not come with onions premade in it. That is enough for a great rating if you ask me. It was a nice experience, social distancing while spaced out. It was the first place the wife and I went to once the pandemic was in phase 3 in Alberta.

Used to love the food here. Would take visitors and family about every 6 weeks. Something has changed in the past year. Food tastes different and is not as good. Servers are not as nice or friendly as they used to be. We went twice in last 8 months. Was told if I dont like the food dont come back. So we wont. Last time we went was August.

Still the best mexican/ el Salvadoran restaurant in central alberta

We stopped here for dinner while passing through. It was AMAZING! Very friendly staff, fantastic food. Would definitely recommend and would definitely return if we are in Red Deer again.

I am never going back here. First of all, the waitress seemed to forget about my table as TWO other tables came in after mine and they got their food before us, got their table cleaned up, paid, and left. Second of all, please wash your dishes. My boyfriend and I noticed something weird, why are there so many dried stains on our cups and utensils? They were dried down on the outside and inside where it only comes off if you scratch it off. Lastly, which is probably the grossest part, I asked for a to-go box for my salad. The box had DRIED DOWN FOOD on the side of the container. My boyfriend picked off the large piece of dried cheese thinking it'll be fine, but when he picked up the box it was soggy, wet, and food stained on the bottom. You can guess that I didn't end up taking the salad home. Overall, it wasn't a pleasant experience and the only reason we didn't confront the staff was cause it was my boyfriends birthday and I didn't want to make our bad lunch experience even worse.

Such amazing food. If i wasn't stuffed I would have ordered seconds. Can't wait to go again.

The home made salsa is amazing! They give you some with chips as an appetizer when you get it! Loved it so much that I bought extra to take home with me. Bot onoy that the the food portion size is huge! Great place to eat and I would come here again!!

Great experience, as always. We are a large group who attend a workshop at the college every January. We have been coming to Las Palmeras every year for a reason. The food, drinks and service are great. That they can accommodate a group of 20+ with very pleasant service, and keeping everything straight (separate bills) is impressive. Everyone enjoyed their food and beverages. We'll be back next year :-)

Amazing food great staff

The food is always great here, unfortunately they seemed distracted during our visit, they were not as attentive or on the ball as normal. We didn't even get our drink order... The food was excellent, the service this time poor.

Absolutely love this place. Its always a treat! Food is simply amazing, service is wonderful. Highly recommend. Awesome food but very pricey. Friendly, helpful staff. Clean establishment. I go hee because my friend is related to the owner. We recently held a function for about 50 people at this restaurant. Although they don't have a separate room, we were able to reserve on side of the restaurant for our guests and there was lots of room on the other side for walk-ins. The food was good, the service excellent and we had a great dinner together.

Good was alright, not super authentic. Good vibe, but nothing really to write home about in terms of flavor. It had been over a year since I'd last been, probably a similar timeline before I return.

My go-to Mexican restaurant in Central AB! Their food is always hot and fresh and the salsa is to die for - I always take extra home with me! The staff are also super friendly.

If you are looking for something different and enjoy Mexican food then this is the place, I have been eating at Las Palmeras for over 20 years! Every time I am driving to Calgary and beyond, I try to plan a stop here. The menu is fairly extensive and you can always find something to eat. I find the prices reasonable for a sit down restaurant when you compare what the fast food Mexican restaurants charge. They provide complementary chips and homemade salsa, you can't go wrong with that. The service is always fast and friendly.
